Fans won’t have to wait long for a rematch of both MCAC basketball finals. The regular season kicks off where last season ended, with the Providence University College Pilots visiting the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers on Friday, Nov. 14.
The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers were simply dominant when it mattered most. They scored early and often and defended tough for 40 minutes to beat the Providence University College Pilots 80-36 in the MCAC men’s basketball final on Friday to defend their title.
Scott Martin orchestrated a rare perfect regular season. The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers men’s basketball coach led his team to eight straight regular-season wins, earning MCAC coach of the year.
Year after year, Daniel Cameron keeps delivering. The perennial all-conference forward from Canadian Mennonite University was the only MCAC men’s basketball player to average a double-double, earning his second player of the year award.
