Ehrmantraut earns third women's basketball player of the year

Briana Ehrmantraut remains the standard no one has reached since she arrived at Canadian Mennonite University.
The third-year guard is now a three-time player of the year in MCAC women's basketball.
Ehrmantraut led the conference with 23 points per game, shooting 41.6 per cent from the field with 8.3 rebounds per game.
"Briana's passion and drive for constant improvement are evident in her work ethic," said Blazers coach Sharlene Harding.
"She is always in the gym working on her shooting and ball handling, comes early and stays late for every practice, and pushes her teammates in every drill, sprint, and strength training event. She is a highly skilled player both on the court and in her tactical knowledge of the game and that is evident in her leading the league in points and assists."
Ehrmantraut also put up 3.5 assists per game.
She broke program records with 35 points and nine three-pointers made in a January win over the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges.
The Blazers host the Providence University College Pilots in the league final today at 7 p.m. CMU beat PUC in the NIAC final on the weekend.
