Blazers win MCAC women's basketball title
Player of the year Briana Ehrmantraut put on an MVP performance in the biggest game of the year.
The Canadian Mennonite University Blazers guard scored 30 points to lead her team to a 77-71 win over the Providence University College Pilots in the MCAC women's basketball final on Thursday.
PUC led 69-60 with six minutes to go before Ehrmantraut dropped two long stepback three-pointers and all-conference forward Oluwanifemi Gbadamosi, the top rebounder in the league, hit two putback jumpers to give CMU the lead on a three-minute, 10-0 run.
The top-ranked Blazers also claimed the NIAC title with a final victory over the Pilots.
