Mackenzie Boyes is entering her sixth MCAC playoffs as a four-time champion with no intentions of staying at four. The Brandon University Bobcat led her team to a 6-0-2 regular season, good for the top seed for the women’s futsal playoffs. Boyes is the MCAC women’s futsal player of the year.

Yahia Chihab brings a wealth of experience to the Université de Saint-Boniface men’s futsal team and the results have shown it. Les Rouges finished first in the regular season at 7-1-0. Chihab is the MCAC men’s futsal coach of the year.

Randy Gborie led the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges on a run to the top of the men’s futsal standings. Scoring five goals in three games on a busy week, he guided Les Rouges to three big wins and ultimately a 7-1-0 record to take the first seed for the playoffs. Gborie is the MCAC men’s futsal player of the year.

Diego Rodriguez has continued his winning ways. The Brandon University women’s futsal coach has followed an MCAC women’s soccer title with an unbeaten futsal regular season. Rodriguez is the MCAC women’s futsal coach of the year.

Tristan Gibbons was unstoppable on Sunday. The six-foot-seven forward dominated in the paint, recording 21 points and 18 rebounds as the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges won their first-ever MCAC men’s basketball title with a 79-64 win over the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.

It was clear from the opening tip that the Université de Saint-Boniface Les Rouges weren’t content with just making their first MCAC men’s basketball final. They were in it to win it all. Les Rouges led wire-to-wire on Sunday, defeating the undefeated Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 79-64 to claim the league championship at CMU on Sunday.

After going 8-0 in the MCAC women’s basketball regular season, PUC scored 30 points in the first quarter and defeated the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers 69-58 in the final on home court in Niverville.
